Gili Trawangan is the largest of the three islands off the north-west coast of Lombok.
One can reach Trawangan crossing the blue, alluring sea in small or big boats like these..
Trawangan is a melting pot of all kinds of people (though mostly backpackers) from all parts of the world.
And inviting them is a bunch of hotels, motels and homestays.
Some offering yoga, meditation and a pool – even if it is 5ft by 5ft.
while many others are full..
Motor vehicles are banned in Trawangan. Cycles and horse carts provide the best alternative..
to roam around the street flanked by shops with clarion calls to save the world like these..
and like these offering handicrafts and jewellery..
and restaurants, coffee shops and lounges..
some offering cooking classes while others live music.
The soul of Trawangan is ofcourse the water sports – diving and snorkeling to catch the mesmirising life under the sea.
And if you are done with everything, you can catch a movie in these small theatres.
Trawangan is a must go. Because in Trawangan, Everyday happens daily!!

Absolutely wonderful!!
very good blog.
We loved Gili T we visited there April 2012 as part of our 3 week SEA honeymoon. We hope to get back soon, and hope that tourism hasn’t taken over yet…..
Hello,
Hope you’re doing well!!
I’m Jane and am an avid reader and blogger, a passion which I think we share.
Your blog “.travelwithacouple.com “is probably one of the most interesting ones I’ve seen recently and with due reason. I was wondering if I could do a guest post for your blog.
It would be an honor to see my article published on your site.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards,
Jane Roberts.
